Uniting Rotarians Across Borders

The sections within a pair maintain close communication, exchange information about Rotary events, and share regional publications. They work together and leverage their bilateral network of Rotarians to help clubs implement humanitarian projects.

Bilateral Networks: ICC sections coordinate across borders to mobilise Rotarians and resources for projects where they are needed most.
Humanitarian Focus: From Eastern Europe to the Middle East, ICCs channel Rotary's global reach into on-the-ground humanitarian impact.
Global Guidance: The ICC Executive Committee promotes new committees, collects best practices, and maintains a directory of active committees worldwide.

What are Intercountry Committees?

Rotary International is working together with ICCs to promote peace and international cooperation by aligning their governance and encouraging greater participation.

Cross-Border Collaboration

ICCs unite Rotarians from neighbouring countries, enabling shared projects, events, and publications that no single club could achieve alone.

ICC Leadership Structure

Individual ICC sections function autonomously with their own leadership, while the global ICC Executive Committee provides guidance and support to the full network.

A Growing Movement

Inspired by the first France-Germany ICC in 1950, committees have expanded Rotary's reach — especially in Eastern and Central Europe after the fall of communism.

Our Mission

ICC Leadership

The leadership of ICCs operates on two levels: individual ICC sections function autonomously, with their own leadership structures, and are responsible for coordinating activities within their respective countries. At the global level, the ICC Executive Committee provides guidance and support to the network of ICCs. This committee is tasked with promoting the development of new ICCs, collecting and sharing best practices, and maintaining a directory of active committees.
